Make science stories people can hold.

Explore zines as a memorable, accessible way to combine science, visual storytelling, and personal voice.

One sheet becomes a tiny book

The panels point in different directions because the page is designed to be cut and folded.

Once assembled, they become an eight-page illustrated booklet.

The finished zine turns scientific information into a small, tactile experience that readers can explore at their own pace.

Practice, not just theory

Stay and make progress

The optional 30-minute working session gives you dedicated space to keep developing your idea, ask questions, and get support while the workshop is still fresh.

Your instructor

Led by Olivia Ambrogio, Ph.D.

Olivia brings 15 years of experience helping scientists communicate with greater clarity, confidence, and purpose.

Before joining SCoPE as the Science Communication Learning and Engagement Manager, she led the American Geophysical Union's Sharing Science program for more than a decade. As a scientist herself, she knows that doing the research is only part of the job; helping others understand why it matters requires a different set of skills.
