Solar system and beyond

NASA SciAct teams

The NASA Science Activation Teams work to connect NASA science experts, real content, and experiences with learners of all ages, to do science in ways that activate minds and promote deeper understanding of our world and beyond. Here you will find them organized by the division connected to their work.

Cross-Divisional (Cross) Teams

Teams in this category support all five (5) divisions of the Science Mission Directorate: Astrophysics, Biological and Applied Sciences, Earth Science, Heliophysics, and Planetary Science.

Astrophysics Divisional (Astro) Teams

Teams in this category support the Astrophysics division of the Science Mission Directorate.

This image features a spectacular nebula captured in vibrant colors and intricate details. The central structure of the nebula resembles a blooming cosmic flower with two prominent lobes, glowing intensely white with a web-like surface. These lobes are surrounded by clouds of gas and dust in hues of pink, purple, and blue, creating a dynamic and almost three-dimensional effect. The outer edges fade into the dark backdrop of space. Bright stars dot the scene, with a particularly bright cluster to the left, enhancing the celestial grandeur of this cosmic event. Biological and Physical Sciences (BPS) Teams

Teams in this category support the Biological and Physical Sciences of the Science Mission Directorate.

A serene and surreal scene where a person is floating in a lotus position inside a space station with a large viewing window showing Earth. The person appears focused on a tablet device, surrounded by a vibrant mix of nature and technology. Flowers, green foliage, and a bird suggest a harmonious blend of an ecosystem within the space station. The Earth looms large in the background, suggesting the station is in orbit.
