Murti is a PhD Candidate in UC Berkeley's Earth and Planetary Science department and a member of NASA's MAVEN mission at the Space Sciences Lab. As a NASA FINESST scholar, she studies Mars’ plasma environment to learn about the planet’s magnetic field environment. She earned her physics master’s degree from Fisk University as a Fisk-Vanderbilt Bridge Program fellow. She’s enthusiastic about solar system spacecraft missions and sharing her knowledge with the public. She believes in the value of education as a first-generation student who is grateful to have the opportunity to pursue the highest level of educational attainment.
