Mel Narish
Learning Designer
Mel is a Learning Designer with the Center for Education Through Exploration (ETX). Over the last two decades, her passion for science and art has guided her to research in labs, teach in classrooms and outdoors, and organize events supporting education, science, and the arts. In her undergraduate and graduate studies, she researched migration patterns of warblers and hormone development in falcon nestlings. She then taught 4th grade homeroom, 4th-6th outdoor education, 6th-12th grade sciences/math/studio arts, and college Biology. To better support her educator colleagues, Melanie transitioned to developing resources and organizing events for teachers. Now at ETX, she seeks to create quality resources to help students both learn concepts and open their minds to the world's (and universe's) wonders.
