Lauryn is pursuing a PhD in Astronomy at the University of Washington. As an NSF Fellow, she studies the formation and evolution of Thorne-Żytkow Objects using a variety of computational techniques. Along with research she has a strong interest in outreach and education to make astronomy and physics accessible to underrepresented minorities.
