Dr. Jian Gong is a research scientist at the School of Computing, University of Wyoming. Dr. Gong is interested in applying artificial intelligence techniques and data science principles in diverse disciplines. Trained as a geologist, Dr. Gong has worked on collecting sensor data and robotic instrument data to better understand Earth systems, ecology, habitability and searching for life beyond our own planet. He has worked on space biology projects with NASA to analyze data from astronauts and experiments in space.
