Jessika Valenciano is a PhD candidate at the University of Notre Dame. She earned her bachelor's degree in geology from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and served as the lab manager of the Kim Environmental Geochemistry Lab at Chapman University before pursuing her PhD. Currently, she is using crystal size distributions of ilmenite to analyze the cooling histories of lunar basalts and ICP-MS/OES to determine chemical stratigraphy of regolith.
