PhD Candidate
University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa
Gwen is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa where she studies icy ocean worlds of the outer solar system, with a particular focus on Saturn's moon Titian. She uses numerical modeling and spacecraft observations to understand the physical processes occurrin in the icy subsurface. Her work helps assess the habitalbility of ocean worlds by evaluating exchange processess between the liquid water ocean and the surface, and constraining sites to look for potential signs of life. Gwen holds a M.S. in Earth & Planetary Science from the University of Hawai'i at Mānoa (2021) and a B.A. in Physics with a minor in Earth Science from te University of California, Santa Barbara (2018).
