Outreach may unlock a lifelong passion for a child and can give them the space they need to ask meaningful questions, find resources outside of the classroom, and inspire them to take specific classes throughout their academic career that they may not have otherwise taken (especially within STEM).

Autumn is a 4th year Physics Ph.D. candidate at the University of Central Florida. She performs research on airless planetary bodies, aiming to understand their surface compositions and the processes that impact the surfaces of these bodies in the vacuum of space. She also serves as an organizer for the Orlando branch of Astronomy on Tap. When she isn’t in the lab or talking about science, she can be found hanging out with her two kitty cats, Sir and RJ!
